The optimal solution for heating and cooling in an integrated package!

Heat pumps are an impressive example of technological innovation in the field of heating and cooling. The significant energy savings offered by heat pumps is a driving force behind their adoption by consumers and businesses.

In the last ten years, heat pump technology has made impressive progress. From increasing efficiency to improving reliability and reducing operating costs, heat pumps have evolved into efficient and cost-effective heating and cooling solutions.

One of the most important competitive advantage of heat pumps is their ability to provide heating and cooling using only one device, eliminating the need for separate systems. In addition, the continuous improvement in their performance has led to reduced operating costs, while their environmentally friendly nature makes them preferable alternatives. Finally, their flexibility in using renewable energy sources such as solar and geothermal makes them ideal for adopting a sustainable approach to heating and cooling. Overall, heat pumps are emerging as pioneers in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability, offering integrated and efficient solutions for homes and businesses.

Questions from you, answers for you

What is a heat pump?

Heat Pumps are so called because they "pump" heat from a cold source (external environment in winter or a cooled space in summer) and with the help of a refrigerant expel it to a hot source (heated space in winter or external environment in summer). Because they "force" a flow of heat from cooler to warmer surroundings, which is opposite to the "natural flow" of heat (which is from warmer to cooler), they require the consumption of a small amount of energy (usually electrical) to maintain their operation. With Heat Pumps, the need for heating in winter and cooling in summer is met, with a single system. The only requirement is to install Fan Coil units instead of bodies. Heat Pumps are characterized by the coefficients of performance, for heating (COP) and for cooling (EER), which express the ratio of the energy we "get or use" to the energy we "consume". The values of these coefficients are greater than unity (in almost all applications) and range (usually) from 3 to 4. This is because the energy we "get" comes 75% from the external environment and 25% from the energy which we "consume". This is the element that brings heat pumps to the first positions of choice as a heating system.

Heat Pump Applications

Heat Pumps that produce hot or cold water can be combined with the following systems heating or cooling/cooling:

Underfloor system

The underfloor heating system works with water temperatures of 35 – 45 (ºC) for heating and 15 – 20 (ºC) for the cooling. The use of the Heat Pump to feed the Underfloor Heating system is one of the most efficient and quality heating solutions.

Fan coils

The installation of fan coils requires water temperatures of of 45-50 (ºC) for heating and 7-10 (ºC) for cooling. The use of Fan Coils is an ideal choice for cooling and heating applications with a single system.

Central air conditioning units

The requirements are similar to installations with fan coils.

< h3>Heating bodies

Heat Pumps can work with heating bodies (whether common or low temperature) to heat spaces. It is a particularly frequent choice in the case of renovations, for example with a subsidy from the Save program.

How much does a heat pump consume?

As for any system, the cost of the heat pump depends mainly on the size of the energy needs. Comparing the heat pump with an oil, gas or even biomass boiler and taking into account the fuel prices at the moment we speak, the economy in operating costs can reach 75% and in fact this percentage can be even higher if we compare it as an air conditioning system (cooling – heating) in relation to a boiler for heating and simple air conditioners for cooling. We should take into account the type, use, power, hours of operation and other technical factors to be more accurate in comparing the various systems, but theory and experience so far show us that the pump heat has the lowest operating costs of any other system. The energy consumption and running costs of a heat pump depend on many factors, including: Heat pump type and size: Larger heat pumps may use more energy compared to smaller ones, while high-efficiency pumps may be more efficient. Operating temperatures: The ambient temperature and the desired temperature inside the room affect energy consumption. In general, operation at lower temperatures requires more energy. Building insulation: Better insulation can reduce energy consumption, as the pump will need less energy to maintain the temperature at the desired level. Use of renewable energy sources: The use of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy or geothermal energy, can significantly reduce operating costs. In general, heat pumps have lower running costs compared to traditional heating systems such as fuel or electric heaters. However, the specific cost will vary depending on the above factors and local conditions.

I can put my house

Wondering if you can install a heat pump in your home? The answer is absolutely yes! Heat pumps offer an efficient, ecological and economical solution for heating and producing hot water in your home. With the continuous development of technology, heat pumps have become more efficient and affordable than ever. In addition, by choosing the heat pump, you can benefit from subsidies and discounts offered by the state to promote sustainable energy. By choosing a heat pump for your home, you are investing in a sustainable and efficient solution for heating your home, while at the same time contributing to the protection of the environment. The heat pump integrates all the components and devices required for its operation in an integrated machine that resembles an outdoor unit of an air conditioner. This characteristic gives the possibility of free placement at any point outside the building but also inside it with the appropriate choice of machine.

Why is it good for me to install a heat pump?

In summary, some of the advantages of using the Heat Pump for heating and cooling a building are:

Energy saving.

Environmental protection.

Easy installation.

Low maintenance cost.

Safety - Reliability - Quality.

Flexibility of interfacing with existing installations.

Possibility of cooperation with other related applications (photovoltaic, solar thermal, etc.).

Short payback of the investment.
